May Mobility

About

In 2017, Edwin Olson co-founded May Mobility with a clear vision: to reimagine transportation by developing autonomous vehicles that actually work in the real world. Recognizing that traditional self-driving approaches were struggling with unexpected situations, Edwin and his team built May Mobility around their groundbreaking Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology - a real-time, reinforcement-learning AI system that learns while driving, generating new training examples every 200 milliseconds to handle scenarios that rules-based systems simply can't navigate.

What started as an idea to bridge transportation gaps has evolved into a company that has delivered over 300,000 autonomy-enabled rides across communities in the United States and Japan. May Mobility's autonomous shuttles don't just provide transportation - they create safer, greener, more accessible cities by partnering with transit agencies, municipalities, and major platforms like Lyft and Uber. From snowy Minnesota roads to busy Tokyo streets, May Mobility continues to prove that the future of autonomous transportation isn't just theoretical; it's here, serving real people, solving real problems, and making urban mobility more equitable for everyone.
