In 2015, serial medtech entrepreneur Fred Khosravi co-founded Imperative Care with Dr. Nick Hopkins, a pioneer of endovascular neurointervention, united by a shared vision: stroke no longer had to be a death or disability sentence. They recognized critical gaps across the entire patient journey for those suffering from stroke and other devastating vascular diseases, and set out to build a different kind of medical technology company that would address these unmet needs.
What began as a bold idea has grown into a commercial-stage medical technology company researching, developing, and manufacturing connected innovations to elevate care for patients worldwide. Today, Imperative Care operates as four complementary businesses with a common purpose - to bring more care to more people affected by stroke and vascular diseases. Through products like the Zoom Stroke System and Symphony thrombectomy system, they are transforming outcomes and expanding access to lifesaving technology.
