The story of ATG Europe began in Germany in 1969, when three Norwegian entrepreneurs founded IKO Software Solutions (IKOSS) in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart. Their vision was to develop and commercialize software for finite elements systems while providing engineering and software consultancy services. In 1979, the company secured its first contract at the European Space Agency's ESTEC, marking a pivotal entry into the space sector.
Over five decades of evolution through various mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations led to the formation of ATG Europe as it stands today. In 2012, the company was renamed AOES Technology Group, and by 2016, with new investors and leadership, it consolidated as ATG Europe - an international consultancy specializing in high-end engineering solutions for space, defense, and big science markets. The company now operates with over 430 professionals representing 32 nationalities, driving innovation through patented technologies in areas including composites, thermal engineering, and immersive reality.
