The engineering base is distributed across production facilities, engineering centers, and service hubs on five continents - Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania - with the company's origins in the Netherlands. Operating continuity dates to 1642, giving the organization more than 380 years of accumulated maritime engineering practice, including Dutch expertise in water control.
