About the role
- We are looking for a hands-on Application & Demo Engineer to help bring our robotics and perception platforms to life for customers. This role is ideal for a technically strong, action-oriented engineer including recent graduates or early-career engineers, who enjoys building real systems, working directly with customers, and turning ideas into working demos.
You will become deeply familiar with our software, algorithms, and platforms, work closely with customers to understand their applications, and build tailored demos and reference solutions. This role offers strong technical exposure across robotics, perception, and ML, with mentorship from senior engineers and clear opportunities for growth.
What you'll do
- Learn and deeply understand our robotics and perception platforms, with emphasis on software and algorithms
- Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and use cases
- Build hands-on demos, prototypes, and reference applications using our hardware and software stack
- Support customers during evaluations, pilots, and early integrations
- Collaborate with perception, robotics, and software teams to adapt solutions to customer needs
- Help prepare and deliver customer demos, workshops, and trade-show demonstrations
- Debug application-level issues spanning perception, robotics, and system integration
- Capture customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with robotics, perception, or autonomy systems (academic projects, internships, or industry experience)
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Familiarity with robotics or perception concepts (e.g., sensors, localization, vision, planning)
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate or undergraduate project experience building robotics or perception systems
- Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 and robotics middleware
- Experience working with cameras, LiDARs, IMUs, or multi-sensor systems
- Exposure to ML or computer vision models used in robotics applications
- Prior internship, co-op, or first-job experience in robotics, autonomy, or applied ML
- Interest in customer-facing engineering or field applications roles
