Field Application Engineer – Motion Control (Robotics & Automation)

📍 Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)
✈️ ~50% travel across EMEA
💼 Permanent | Full-time

About the Role

We are hiring a Field Application Engineer – Motion Control to join a fast-growing robotics and precision motion team based in Barcelona.

This is a customer-facing technical role supporting OEM clients across Europe in the integration of high-performance motion control systems used in robotics, medical technology and advanced automation.

If you enjoy working at the intersection of engineering and customer interaction — and want to be part of a dynamic, innovation-driven environment — this could be your next step.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for servo drives and integrated motion control products

  • Partner with sales teams on customer visits, design reviews and “design-in” activities

  • Support OEM customers during system integration and troubleshooting

  • Deliver technical training to distributors and end-users

  • Develop customer demos and application documentation

  • Collect market insights and application feedback to support product development

  • Represent the company at industry events and trade fairs

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of experience in motion control applications, field engineering or design engineering

  • Strong hands-on experience with servo drives, encoders, motion controllers or automation components

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications or similar

  • Fluent English

  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% across EMEA

  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Nice to Have
  • German language skills

  • Spanish language skills

  • Experience in robotics, medical technology or industrial automation OEMs

What This Role Is NOT

This is not a software development or IT role.
We are specifically looking for candidates with real-world experience in motion control hardware and automation components.

What You’ll Get

  • Join a fast-growing European robotics hub

  • High technical ownership and design autonomy

  • Exposure to cutting-edge robotics and medical automation projects

  • International customer interaction across EMEA

  • Collaborative, high-energy team environment

  • Competitive salary package (approx. €45,000 – €60,000 depending on experience)

Who You Are

  • Energetic and proactive

  • Technically strong but commercially aware

  • Comfortable explaining complex technical concepts to non-experts

  • Motivated by customer success and tangible impact

If this sounds like you, apply now and let’s talk.
