Location: Spring House Pennsylvania United States
Catalyx is seeking a Robotics/Vision Engineer with strong
experience in liquid handling systems to join our multidisciplinary engineering
team. This individual will be responsible for the design, programming,
integration, troubleshooting, and documentation of robotic and machine vision
systems used in laboratory automation or similar environments. The role also
includes providing administrative support to ensure seamless execution of
technical projects and compliance with internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Design and develop robotic systems with a focus
on liquid handling applications (e.g., pipetting, dispensing, mixing).
·Program and integrate automation platforms and
vision systems using industry-standard software tools.
·Troubleshoot and resolve issues in robotic
hardware, software, and system integration.
·Configure and calibrate machine vision systems
for object recognition, alignment, and quality control.
·Support validation and verification efforts,
including writing protocols and reports.
·Develop and maintain technical documentation,
including system specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
·Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists,
engineers, and project managers to meet technical and timeline requirements.
·Provide administrative and project support,
including tracking project milestones, coordinating vendors, and managing
system configurations.
Requirements
·Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a
related field.
·3–10 years of hands-on experience in:
·Liquid handling systems (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton,
Beckman Coulter, or custom platforms)
·Robotic automation (industrial arms, lab
automation platforms)
·Machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence,
OpenCV, HALCON)
·Proficiency in programming languages such as Python,
C++, LabVIEW, or proprietary automation scripting languages.
·Familiarity with control systems, motion
control, and I/O interfacing.
·Strong problem-solving skills and ability to
work independently or in teams.
·Excellent written and verbal communication
skills.
