Job Description

Must be able to work in a professional engineering team-based environment. Engineering teams are responsible for the programming of automated robot systems for customer applications and processes. Duties may include and are not limited to detailed robot programming, offline programming, virtual commissioning, system commissioning, onsite support, internal/external training, and technical consultation. This position may require 100% travel. The candidate must be willing to perform hands on robot programming on the customer’s floor.

Responsibilities: 
 
The following lists are general responsibilities that may vary from customer to customer.  
  
Automation skills 
 
Basic knowledge of designing programming simulation and testing automated machinery. 
•    Ability to read controls hardware drawings and mechanical sequence of operations. 
•    Basic electrical, pipefitting and mechanical building knowledge would be a plus. 
•    Ability to troubleshoot manifold, water saver and other peripherals and configure them to communicate with the robot. 
•    Understanding of safe robot concepts ex. DCS for Fanuc. 
•    Mechanical engineering skills including dynamics and kinematics 

Additional Information

Qualifications:  Education and Experience 
 
•    Community college Diploma or higher, in the field of Automation or Robotics  
•    Three to seven years’ experience in related Robotics Field 
 
Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include: 
 
All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner. 
 
•    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures 
•    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods 
•    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts  
•    Report defect in any equipment or protective device 
•    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks 
•    Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training 
•    Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor 
•    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents 
•    Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct 

Salary Range: $66,000 - $95,000 per year.
Actual pay within this range is determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and location.
